At the age of 29, a cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys and former Ohio State standout is retiring. Cornerback Gareon Conley reportedly informed
the Dallas Cowboys that he was retiring from football, per a report by ESPN’s Todd Archer. Conley was not placed on the reserve or retired list by Dallas,
but rather was dismissed outright, according to Cowboys.com reporter Nick Harris. I can vouch for @toddarcher’s allegation that Gareon Conley was released after telling the team he planned to retire. This link: t.co/mD7548BFTi
The Oakland Raiders selected Conley with the 24th overall pick in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Conley played two and a half seasons with the Buckeyes, where he earned a national title in 2014, before being dealt to the Houston Texans before the 2019 deadline.
