If Olympic boxer Imane Khelif prevails in a criminal cyberbullying case, Elon Musk and JK Rowling may be sentenced to five years in prison and fined up to £214,000.

The Office for the Fight against Crimes against Humanity and Hate Crime is currently investigating allegations of “public insults based on gender,

cyber harassment based on gender, public incitement to discrimination, and public insults on the basis of origin.”

The announcement was made mere days after Khelif secured the gold medal in the women’s 66kg boxing competition.

After enduring a widespread campaign in which she was subjected to a barrage of inquiries regarding her gender, she emerged victorious.

Rowling shared a photo of Khelif’s altercation with Italy’s Angela Carini in a post on X, accusing the Algerian of being a man who was “enjoying the distress of a woman he’s just punched in the head.”
