According to the Gateway Pundit, Josue Vargas Rodriguez, who entered the United States unlawfully and was first arrested soon after entering in October 2023.
Is now subject to deportation under fresh government enforcement policies.
Rodriguez’s several arrests over a brief period underlined what critics have called continuous shortcomings in local and federal immigration enforcement prior to the reintroduction of tougher border policies under President Donald Trump.
First reported by CWB Chicago, Rodriguez had been arrested 13 times by February 2025, leading to a guilty plea in a case involving an attempted robbery of a woman in the Streeterville neighbourhood.
