Based on federal immigration law, ICE verified last week that Rodriguez is currently under custody and would be subjected to removal processes.
Santiago Josue Baragas Rodriguez, an illegal from Venezuela was arrested 13 times in Chicago.
Most of his charges were dropped by prosecutors.

Rodriguez’s arrest record has sparked discussion on Chicago’s sanctuary city laws, which detractors claim let repeat felons stay in the city.
Although they have not said when Rodriguez would be taken, federal authorities have confirmed that deportation processes are under progress.
Rodriguez is under federal custody right now while ICE and immigration courts decide what further to do.
