In a recent Netflix documentary, Mike Tyson said he was afraid he was “going to die” before withdrawing from the fight with Jake Paul.

“Dude, I’m so ready to leave this motherf**ker. I want to start training and fighting, God. I would rather die in the ring than in the hospital bedroom.

“You have no idea how much I suffered because of my ulcer. I dropped twenty-six pounds. Can you believe that? I had peaked, and I was furious about it. I was ready, talking sh*t, and doing well.

In the documentary, Paul also discussed his response to the news, stating: “I was just numb, I was just like, ‘f**k’ when I received the news that he was out and not able to fight.”

“Nobody can tell Mike Tyson what to do, and if he wants to fight me, of course I’m going to say yes,” the YouTuber said.

“This is the once-in-a-lifetime chance to square off against Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali, two of the greatest fighters in history.

“I never really expected something like this because I consider Mike Tyson to be a killer.” A week from now, Tyson and Paul will square off in a boxing match, which will also be aired on Netflix.
