In China, two touring boats transporting tourists overturned today, leaving three dead and fourteen missing.

Local media said that the passenger boats capsized “on a river in a tourist attraction” in Qianxi city, Guizhou province.

Following the disaster, local authorities reported that 60 people were hospitalized and that over 70 individuals were thrown into the ocean.

On Sunday night, 14 persons were reported missing, and rescuers were looking for them. The provincial fire and rescue agency reported that 16 underwater robots and 83 divers were used to look for survivors.
According to an official statement, 24 vessels and 248 rescue personnel—including the divers—had been summoned for the rescue effort.
