In the deadly Frisco stabbing case, Karmelo Anthony’s bond was lowered and he was placed under house arrest.

Following a judge’s decision on Monday.

The 17-year-old who was charged with first-degree murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of a teenager at a Frisco track meet earlier this month has had his bond lowered and will now be placed under home arrest.

Karmelo Anthony’s bond was lowered from $1 million to $250,000 by a Collin County judge. If his parents are able to post bond, Anthony will also have to wear an ankle monitor and remain inside their house.

Since his arrest on April 2 for allegedly stabbing and killing 17-year-old Austin Metcalf at a Frisco ISD track meet, Anthony has been housed in the Collin County jail.

Following a verbal altercation, Anthony allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Metcalf once in the chest, according to witness accounts.

“This wasn’t fair,” said the 14-year-old who was shot and killed while playing basketball in his backyard.
