An updated civil complaint filed on Sunday accused Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter and Sean “Diddy” Combs of raping a 13-year-old girl during.
An after-party after the 2000 Video Music Awards. Carter responded to the allegations in a court filing on Monday.
Carter filed a move on Monday to reject the plaintiff’s plea to be anonymous, requesting that the lawsuit be dismissed or that her identify be revealed.
He also claimed in the petition that Tony Buzbee, a lawyer from Texas, was waging a “extortionate campaign” against him.
“Mr. Carter deserves to know the identity of the person who is effectively accusing him — in sensationalized, publicity-hunting fashion — of criminal conduct, demanding massive financial compensation, and tarnishing a reputation earned over decades,” according to the request.
Jay-Z refuted the accusations against him in the Sunday filing in a message uploaded on the Roc Nation X account on Sunday.
