Inmate Mikal Mahdi of South Carolina was put to death by firing squad after being found guilty of two different murders in 2004.

Less than four minutes later, he was pronounced dead.

According to prison officials, he asked for a medium-cooked ribeye steak, broccoli, collard greens, cheesecake, sweet tea, and mushroom risotto for his final meal.

After confessing to killing 56-year-old Orangeburg Department of Public Safety Capt. James Myers on his property on July 18, 2004, Mahdi was given a death sentence in 2006.

When Myers’ wife discovered him in their shed, which was close to a petrol station where Mahdi tried to buy gas using a credit card that had been stolen.

Myers had been shot at least eight times and his body was burned.
