The steps taken today are unprecedented in their ability to dismantle a social media bot farm that was upgraded by Generative AI and was supported by Russia, according to FBI Director Christopher Wray.
A “social media bot farm” consisting of over a thousand accounts impersonating American residents was allegedly accessible to Russian intelligence, according to the statement.
“Russia intended to use this bot farm to disseminate AI-generated foreign disinformation, scaling their work with the assistance of
AI to undermine our partners in Ukraine and influence geopolitical narratives favorable to the Russian government,” Wray continued.
“Russia will be held responsible for Biden’s debate performance,” they say. Attempts to link humiliating debate tapes to a Russian propaganda effort were met with criticism from White House critics.
“This question may sound ridiculous now, but it will pale in comparison to the inevitable push by the mainstream media to actually blame Putin for Biden’s rapid cognitive decline,” according to a reply.
