The couple’s primary concern during the planning of their extravagant wedding was to include their loved ones.
“Coming from two bigger families (Wissmann is one of 13 siblings), we love to be able to get together and celebrate moments like these,
” according to Jana. “And so to have all of them there, it just means a lot.” The groom’s family prepared a dinner of chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes,
rolls, and coleslaw for the couple’s 500 guests at the reception, following the traditional vows and lighting of the unity candle.
“Because we’re doing an evening wedding, I envisioned this more formal, sit-down dinner,” according to Jana. “The Wissmanns are exceptional cooks.
” They have been preparing a comprehensive array. I am telling myself, “Just do it.” I have faith in you. “Your culinary creations are truly remarkable.”
