Forelli Kramarik, her mother, observed that neither of them spoke about God nor went to church. Akiane was inspired to paint the picture by her idea of a carpenter.
She still clearly recalls looking for a model that looked like Jesus. She was confirmed in her vision when a carpenter who like Jesus showed up at their door after she prayed.
After protracted legal disputes, Akiane sold the picture to an individual collector and regained possession of it. “Prince of Peace” is now on exhibit in Marble Falls,
Texas’s Belóved Gallery. When thinking back on its reappearance, Akiane said, “It still seems surreal to me.” Love has tremendous power.
