Jesy Nelson Welcomes Twin Daughters After Rare Pregnancy Complication

A Challenging Journey

Earlier in her pregnancy, Nelson revealed that her twins had been diagnosed with Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS).

A rare and potentially life-threatening condition that can occur in identical twins sharing a placenta.

According to Hopkins Medicine, TTTS arises when blood vessels in the shared placenta are unequally distributed, resulting in one twin receiving too much blood and the other too little.

If left untreated, it can lead to severe complications for both babies, including organ failure or heart strain.

Jesy spent much of her pregnancy undergoing intensive monitoring and ultimately had to undergo an emergency medical procedure to correct the issue.
