At the age of eight, Karen started taking singing lessons in order to perform “Oh Happy Day” by Edward Hawkins.
“After just a few lessons, she sang the song and enchanted everyone with her striking voice,” recalled Lana Netto, her first vocal instructor.
“Karen never stopped singing and enthralling people after that day.” Manoella and Fernando, Karen’s parents, as well as Marcelo, her lover, survive her.
