“I’m travelling six hours to witness this,” an Alabama fan remarked. “I want to be involved in something that promotes pride, freedom, and solidarity with like-minded individuals.”
However, detractors are quick to point out that the gathering runs the risk of widening rifts. One critic wrote, “Kid Rock has transformed a music festival into a political rally.”
“It’s unfortunate that music has turned into a battlefield.” But Rock doesn’t care. He said, “You can skip this one if you’re not with us.”
Kid Rock is already planning for the future as he gets ready to travel. He sees Rock the Country as a movement more than just an event.
He made a suggestion, saying, “This is just the beginning,” adding that he intends to extend the tour even more the next year.
“The reaction has been tremendous. This is what people desire. They are ravenous for it. Rock appears more dedicated than ever to pushing boundaries in spite of the controversy.
