Over 1,000 drones reportedly targeted Russian cities, disrupting operations at airports in Moscow and damaging key industrial facilities, including the NAK AZOT chemical plant in Tula and the Energia power systems plant in Lipeetsk.
Both sites are known to support Russian weapons production. The Energia plant produces components for drones and missile systems including the Bulava and Kinzhal.
