Celebrities, including Oprah Winfrey, honored the man who paved the path for many talk-show presenters.
With a black and white picture of herself and the late host underneath it, Winfrey said, “There wouldn’t have been an Oprah Show without Phil Donahue being the first to prove that daytime talk
and women watching should be taken seriously.” He was a trailblazer. I’m happy I had the opportunity to thank him. Phil, rest in peace.
