He participated in World Championship Wrestling, Extreme Championship Wrestling, and the WWE from 2006 to 2007.
In the latter years of his life, Sabu made a few appearances. He last competed on April 18 of this year, a few weeks before his tragic death.
Sabu was romantically involved with fellow wrestler Melissa Coates in the 2010s, however she died of COVID-19 problems in 2021 at the age of 52.
