In a separate interview with Rolling Stone, the actor contemplated his extensive and prosperous filmography, which included
his apprehension that one of his most notable successes, Taken, would be a failure. In fact, he was once left feeling red-faced by one of his most famous lines.
“If I had a penny for every time somebody mentioned ‘a certain set of skills,'” he indicated. “I recall that during the filming of that sequence, I implored Pierre Morel to reduce the length of
the scene. This is exceptionally trite. I have the impression that I have encountered and heard this in an innumerable number of films.
“I’ve always thought this was a straight-to-video film, but was very surprised when Fox cleverly cut a trailer, showed it at big sporting events, and it became successful when it was released,” according to him.
