Liam Payne, a former member of One Direction, passes away at age 31.

Along with teammates Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik, the singer became well-known in 2008 after being assembled by Simon Cowell for The X Factor.

The group achieved success with tunes including “Kiss You,” “What Makes You Beautiful,” and “Story of my Life” after placing third in the popular program.

The group has sold over 70 million albums worldwide, making them one of the best-selling boy bands in history.

Payne released his first solo single, “Strip That Down,” featuring Quavo in 2017. Two years later, he released his debut album, LP1. The LADbible Group has requested a response from Payne’s representatives.
