Recalling the Columbia University building occupied by pro-Palestine students, Macklemore released the song
“Hind’s Hall” in the spring, criticizing Joe Biden and other politicians for supporting Israel in the conflict.
Some fans of Israel, such as musician Matisyahu, have attacked Macklemore for his song and opinions, labeling it outright anti-Semitic.
Macklemore, however, is standing for Palestine and seems content to criticize his own nation in the process. We’ve contacted Macklemore’s representative, but we haven’t heard back yet.
