Peter Batt, 59, has been attempting to fix the leaking hole in his apartment roof that friend is renting for the last six months.

In June 2019 Peter bought the apartment in Priory Courtyard, Ramsgate, then moved out in January 2024.

This is when he decided to let a friend and her daughter rent the apartment because they came in in February 2024 and saw a roofing problem. The new renter saw water seeping into the bathroom and second bedroom during restoration.

Along with other leaseholders, the Ludlow, Shropshire, property owner, a journalist, claims she has been finding it difficult to solve the issue.
