In 2025, underwater footage captured on GoPro cameras continues to reveal surprising and sometimes unsettling sights beneath the water’s surface.
Recently, YouTuber Dusty Sands decided to explore the ocean environment by dropping his GoPro off a jetty at Port Noarlunga, Australia.
The video, titled “Dropping My GoPro Into Deep Water WHAT..IS..THAT..?”, shows the camera’s descent into murky, greenish water.
As the footage progresses, the camera reveals a large, round object attached to one of the jetty’s support stands.
The object appears to have spikes and a chain extending deeper into the water, sparking curiosity and concern.
