Martin Freeman’s dark British comedy, which has a 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, has finally been added on Netflix.

 

Based on his own concept, Freeman not only co-wrote and produced it but also starred in it. Alongside the 92 percent RT score, there’s an amazing 7.6 average rating on IMDb.

When you combine that with an audience rating of 89 percent (despite Rotten Tomatoes’ best efforts, I won’t refer to it as the “Popcornmeter”), you can understand why comedy lovers should not miss this program.

“Simon Blackwell and Chris Addison have managed the near-impossible by creating a parenting comedy that is not

twee and makes the tired tropes of sleep deprivation and school-catchment obsession actually funny,” stated Carol Midgley in her Times show review.

“When writers Addison and Blackwell let Breeders wander away from its thesis, and especially when they allow Freeman and Haggard to play messy and complicated,

it shows tremendous promise,” stated Allison Shoemaker in her RogerEbert.com review of the movie. “There’s a lot of pressure to be perfect,
