When the first couple arrived in New Jersey on Saturday night following their brief journey to Rome for Pope Francis’ funeral, Donald and Melania Trump parted ways.
The president boarded Marine One to proceed to his golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey, as the first lady climbed into her SUV at the Newark airport on the eve of her 55th birthday.
However, before departing, they had a lovely farewell at the airport: Trump kissed his wife on the cheek. He abruptly halted on his way to his chopper and returned to the first lady to give her a final kiss.
The reason for the couple’s breakup was not disclosed by the White House. However, Melania might have been going to New York City to spend her birthday night with their son, Barron Trump, who resides there.
On Friday, Trump informed reporters that the pair will go on Air Force One to celebrate her birthday.
