After attempting to kill a police officer during a heist, two crooks from Atlantic City, New Jersey, received a dose of karma when they appeared in court in front of a room full of policemen.
A gunfight reportedly broke out as two cops responded to three men attempting to rob three people outside Caesars Casino.
Jerome Damon, a 25-year-old suspect, was murdered in the event. After being taken to the hospital in serious condition, 29-year-old Officer Jostle Vadell was deemed stable.
In a statement after the event, Patrick Colligan, president of the New Jersey PBA, said, “Our hearts are heavy at this hour, but our resolve to capture these suspects remains undeterred.”
“We ask for prayers for the officer, his family,and the Atlantic City Police Department.”
Suspects Demitrius Cross and Martel Chisolm entered the courtroom to discover that their brother in blue was being honored by a packed audience of police officers.
