According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Michael Madsen has filed for divorce from his estranged wife DeAnna following 28 years of marriage.
The former couple split up soon after their son Hudson committed suicide in January 2022, according to the Kill Bill star’s declaration.
Madsen has accused his estranged wife of causing their son’s suicide “by her neglect, drinking, and alcoholism,” according to court filings.

The Kill Bill star, 66, claimed they had split up soon after their 26-year-old son Hudson committed suicide on January 25, 2022, citing irreconcilable differences in court documents obtained by PEOPLE.
The couple was married on April 15, 1996, according to paperwork filed in a Los Angeles court on Tuesday, September 17.
