According to the affidavit, Murphy claims that she subsequently traveled 200 miles to Louisiana with Owen and Grimes only to pass Mina’s house before heading back to Alabama.
The ladies informed Murphy during this trip that their initial effort to hire a hitman had failed when the man they paid $10,000 to stole the money, according to the affidavit.
According to the affidavit, Murphy was informed that she would have to inject Mina with a lethal amount of heroin in order to make it seem as if he had accidentally overdosed.
The affidavit states that after the ladies provided Murphy the money to buy the heroin that would murder Mina, she went back to Louisiana with Owen a week later.
After realizing that Grimes intended her to murder Mina in broad sight during a custody hearing, Murphy finally withdrew, and the ladies left for Alabama. Murphy said that she received an unregistered firearm a few days later.
Murphy then took her lover Jessica Montgomery with her when she returned to Louisiana for the third time. According to the complaint,
