Children, due to their smaller size, are particularly vulnerable to venomous bites. While symptoms can vary, rapid swelling, discoloration, and internal bleeding are among the most dangerous complications.
Elisabeth now insists her children wear boots when playing outdoors, particularly in grassy or wooded areas. “I have much more respect for vipers now,” she said. “I’ll make sure my kids wear shoes — always.”
