Mother accused of selling her six-year-old daughter “for her eyes and skin” discovers her fate in court.

She disappeared from her house in the seaside town of Saldanha Bay, some 75 miles north of Cape Town, South Africa, at six years old.

Joshlin, with pale complexion and stunning blue eyes, had her picture extensively shared in the media as the hunt for her got more intense. Her hair was neatly pulled in pigtails.

Joshlin and her brother remained home on the day she disappeared since they lacked tidy school outfits. Appollis was left mostly in charge of them, while Smith visited to use drugs.

State witness Laurentia Lombaard, who was there that day, said Joshlin vanished sometime in the afternoon.

Not until 9:00 PM was the disappearance noted.
