Despite her addiction, Charlotte says her children were never exposed to her drug use:
“I always tried to shield them. I’d leave the house if I was using. My mum and dad stepped in when things got out of control.”
Looking Ahead: Helping Others Heal
Charlotte now hopes to use her experience to support others facing addiction:
“I’ve never worked before, but I’d love to help people or maybe go into hair and beauty. At least now I have that option.”
“It is possible to get clean. Everyone deserves help, even if they don’t feel worthy of it. We can recover.”
