‘Murdered by cruel stepmother then put in a chlorine bucket’

According to Fox 8, Zelda Welch, a Jefferson Parish prisoner who was twice housed with Landon during his incarceration, testified on Wednesday that the stepmother was “playing the game of insanity.”

Welch claimed that Landon would teach her how to write letters to the court, urging her to use mental health concerns as justification for her request for early release.

She testified, “She told me to say what they want to hear.” It seems to me that Landon was manipulating my feelings. She was engaged in a game of madness. The same thing would be done by me.

In August of last year, Landon was officially charged with first-degree murder and obstruction of justice.

Thursday is the next day of the trial.
