Netflix was criticized for the release of a new Matt Rife special after a controversial remark from his previous program caused offense.

On X, one individual posted a GIF that read, “That’s a hard pass,” while another shared a message that read, “You people have no taste or standards.”

Netflix has stated that the special will feature Rife “interacting intimately with an unpredictable Charlotte audience to discuss the intricacies of dreams.”

The program, which is set to premiere on Tuesday (13 August), is Netflix’s inaugural community engagement special. This means that the content is derived from conversations with Rife.

It is not the first time that Rife has produced community work; he released his own special Walking Red Flag on YouTube last year.

Netflix is finally bringing one of the finest television programs of all time.

After naming JK Rowling and Elon Musk in a cyberbullying lawsuit, Olympic boxer Imane Khelif has spoken out.
