Nev Schulman is fortunate to be alive; he was involved in a bicycle accident that could have resulted in permanent paralysis or worse.
Nev stated that he was en route to his son’s school on his bicycle last Monday to retrieve him when tragedy struck. “I was unable to retrieve my son from school on the bicycle.
In some respects, I am relieved that I did not. I was the sole individual present during the impact. The vehicle and I. Subsequently, I assume the pavement.
I was unconscious and unaccompanied. The 39-year-old host of ‘Catfish’ disclosed that he was transported to a hospital in Southampton,
New York, where physicians promptly diagnosed him with a fractured vertebrae and other concerning symptoms.
Nev stated, “Stable fractures.” I am not incapacitated. For a brief period, my hands appeared to be a question mark; however, the human body is remarkable, as are humans.
Nev documented the assistance of hospital personnel in his recovery, which included a physical therapist who helped him get out of bed in order to regain his ability to walk.
This was an extremely severe situation, as evidenced by the accompanying photograph of Nev in a neck brace.
He has a purple scar on the back of his neck as evidence that he underwent surgery. This is the most recent illustration of how a helmet can save the life of a motorcyclist.
Nev uploaded a video of his bicycle headgear that had been damaged. He could have easily perished if it were not for the helmet.
He received an abundance of familial assistance. Drawings by his three children—7-year-old Cleo James,
5-year-old Beau Bobby Bruce, and 2-year-old Cy Monroe—are depicted in one of the images. The mission was successfully completed, as his children were present to provide affection and support.
Nev stated, “I am fortunate to be alive, standing, and hugging my family. I am expected to make a full recovery, and I am beginning to comprehend the significance of gratitude.
” For the significant and insignificant matters that existed prior to the accident, and for all that shall transpire in the future.
