“No Sympathy”: Following the assassination of its former CEO, UnitedHealth loses $63 billion in value.

The market value of UnitedHealth Group has dropped dramatically as a result of the abrupt assassination of the previous CEO.

The world was rocked by the tragic killing of Brian Thompson last December, with everyone’s attention on Luigi Mangione, the guy who was reportedly guilty for shooting him to death.

But the insurance firm has also lost a staggering $63 billion in value as a result of the business executive’s murder.

Additionally, according to the Daily Mail, on December 4, 2024, the stock price was around $610 per share. That has since decreased to $510 as of Thursday, January 16, 2025.

According to Unilad, Chief Financial Officer John Rex said on an open call that “Brian helped build this company and forged.
