NYPD Officer Fired Amid Topless Photo Scandal and Allegations of Retaliation

NEW YORK — A New York Police Department officer has been fired following a scandal involving a topless photo, claims of sexual harassment.

And an alleged attempt to obstruct a drug investigation involving her former boyfriend. Alisa Bajraktarevic, 34, was officially dismissed from the NYPD on May 2 after 12 years of service.

Her termination was confirmed by the department but not publicly explained in detail. Bajraktarevic, who previously worked in the Robbery Squad, contends the move was retaliatory.

The dismissal follows a series of incidents, including a 30-day suspension two years ago when she allegedly tried to prevent officers from searching her then-boyfriend’s vehicle during a narcotics investigation in the Bronx.

The man, Kelvin Hernandez, 33, was later charged with resisting arrest. Bajraktarevic allegedly identified herself at the scene and attempted to intervene.
