NYPD Officer Fired Amid Topless Photo Scandal and Allegations of Retaliation

In a lawsuit filed against the NYPD, Bajraktarevic accuses the department of retaliating against her for reporting sexual harassment and for the unauthorized distribution of a topless photograph she had privately sent to a fellow officer.

According to court filings, the image was originally sent to Lt. Mark Rivera, whom Bajraktarevic briefly dated.

She alleges Rivera shared the photo in a group chat, sparking widespread circulation throughout the department. Her legal team argues the leak and her subsequent complaints are at the heart of her dismissal.

“There is no doubt that our client’s internal complaints of sexual harassment, the unlawful dissemination of a naked photograph of her.

And her lawsuit against the NYPD were the true motivating factors behind her termination,” attorney John Scola told The New York Post.

“We are confident that once this matter is adjudicated, the retaliatory nature of her discharge will be fully exposed.”
