Olympic runner who was reportedly set on fire by her lover is in serious condition.

 

It was heard that the couple was fighting outside of their home. According to local police head Jeremiah Ole Kosiom,

“the boyfriend was seen pouring a liquid on the woman during the altercation before burning her.” He described the terrifying sight.

Originating in Uganda, Cheptegei bought property in Trans Nzoia County, Kenya, and built a home to be near the nation’s top-notch sports training facilities.

The couple had a property disagreement, according to a complaint that was submitted by a municipal administration. An inquiry into the incident has been opened by the police.

A well-known athlete, Cheptegei placed 44th in the marathon in the most recent Olympics in Paris. At the 2022
