Olympics pundit fired for making a discriminatory joke about Australian women swimmers

Eurosport fired sports pundit Bob Ballard for making a sexist joke regarding Australia’s female swimmers following their gold medal victory in the Olympics.

Just a few days into the Paris 2024 Olympics, a lot has already transpired, including the emergence of the peculiar “cap catcher” and performances by the “blue scrotum” at the opening ceremony.

And Ballard has possibly produced one of the most contentious moments.

His remarks were made during the Australian women’s 4x100m freestyle competition, in which Mollie O’Callaghan, Shayna Jack, Emma McKeon, and Meg Harris were among the medal winners on Saturday, July 27.

The former BBC pundit remarked, “Well, the women just finishing up,” following the victory. Women are just, you know, just hanging around doing makeup.

The “worst disease you’ve never heard of” that affects men causes their skin to become “fragile as tissue.”

The authenticity of a Danish school’s “cosplay” as British students has astonished observers.
