Days before the accident, Hailey had recently obtained a position at Boots, near the company’s Beeston headquarters, and the family lived on George Street.
The night before the event, one of her coworkers informed the mother that the start date was October 22 rather than October 24, as had been previously conveyed to her.
Then that morning, her husband saw an email from Boots confirming that Hailey’s start date was October 22 at 6 a.m.
According to coroner Nathanael Hartley, Mr. Watson was driving at 8 to 10 mph when he made the turn, but he failed to signal left, which did not cause the crash.
