Three busses transporting Pine Ridge Middle School students were heading south on Interstate 77 early Wednesday afternoon after a field trip just outside of Charlotte.
One of the buses had an accident after a tire blew. There were about thirty-five students and three adults on the bus.
“EMS, other emergency responders, law enforcement, and district/school staff are all present at the site. Everyone on the scene is being evaluated by EMS, and some pupils are being taken away for more testing.
Parents or guardians were reunited with the students who had not been hurt in the accident.
