Many are demanding that Hungarian boxer Anna Luca Hamori be removed from the Olympics after her allegedly “disgusting” comments made regarding Imane Khelif of Algeria.
Because Angela Carini, Khelif’s first opponent, quit the bout after just 46 seconds and refused to shake the Algerian’s hand, the admission of Khelif in the Paris games has sown discord throughout the globe.
Carini has subsequently expressed regret for her actions during the incident, saying that she was “angry” about the outcome of her Olympic bid and “sad” over the reaction to her comments about Khelif.
Additionally, she expressed her sorrow for her opponent. It is their choice, and I will respect it, if the IOC says she may compete.
But now Hamori of Hungary has joined the fray, publishing a slew of posts that have been defined as “vile” and “disgusting” in the aftermath.
