In response to the tragedy, at least 22 public institutions have joined forces. Luis Abinade, the president of the Dominican Republic, has announced three days of mourning.
“We sincerely regret the tragedy that occurred at the Jet Set nightclub,” Abinade stated in a statement posted on Twitter.
Every rescue organization has given the required support and is putting in endless effort in the rescue mission. We are praying for the impacted families.
