A Florida hospital is being sued by two distraught parents for the loss of their baby daughter.
After an emergency cesarean section, Gianna Lopera and Jahmiah Peets welcomed their daughter in June 2022 at barely 24 weeks.
According to PEOPLE, their daughter, Jahxy Peets, was born at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies.
Jahxy was intubated and admitted to the hospital’s newborn intensive care unit (NICU) right after the c-section.
“There was no evidence of any birth-related trauma,” according to a complaint filed by the parents.But an MRI at around two weeks of age showed that Jahxy had a shattered neck.
