Despite being in an accident, Storey did not suffer any life-threatening injuries. He had respiratory problems and chest damage when he got to the hospital.
According to the lawsuit, Storey died after going into hypoxic arrest because Salazar failed to notice the danger of respiratory failure, despite the fact that it was obvious that he needed assisted breathing.
A trial date is still pending in this ongoing case.
After a lady named Jennifer Barnett had care at the Atlanta Medical Center in 2013, Dr. Salazar, whose last name was Johnson at the time, was cited in another negligence complaint in January 2015.
