Parents claim that medical professionals are to blame for the adorable toddler’s agonizing death after being bitten by fire ants.

Last October, a jury exonerated Salazar of all charges. The fact that Salazar was mentioned in the two additional medical malpractice claims the movie filed was deemed “particularly concerning” by Bell Law.

“Negligence patterns such as these need to be identified and dealt with,” Lloyd Bell added in the news statement.

“The heartbreak of losing a child because of a hospital’s lack of preparation, especially for something as predictable as an allergic reaction, should never be experienced by any family.”

“We want to get Maya full justice and make sure that what happened to her doesn’t happen to another child,” Lloyd Bell said in closing.

In addition to legal bills, Maya’s parents are requesting full justice in damages, which a jury will decide.

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center and Bell Law Firm were contacted by DailyMail.com for comment, but they did not respond right away.
