Honoring Ryan’s Legacy

In April, Ryan’s family returned to the Penn Hills Police Department with commemorative challenge coins and a heartfelt note.

“We couldn’t be more proud of the son and brother he was, and the man he became,” the letter read. “Our pain is unbearable, and our grief is forever.”

The department also posted a tribute to Ryan on Facebook:

“Ryan was not only a dedicated and hardworking officer but also a kindhearted friend to many of us. His loss leaves a void that cannot be filled.”
