The staggering overall expense of a day trip to Orlando’s Walt Disney World resort was disclosed by a parent who accompanied his family of five there.
The guy from Florida, USA, used social media to analyze the family’s daily expenses, which led to a contentious discussion among viewers over the significance of budgeting.
The father recorded the cost of the family’s tickets, parking, lunches, and snacks in a video that @financedystop uploaded on X. He also noted the exorbitant prices of souvenir store products.
The father said that he paid $30/£22 for all-day parking before the family entered the park. After entering the resort, the guy said that a family of five, including one youngster under 10, had paid $974/£733 for their tickets.
He went on to say: “We chose not to use the lightning lane (fast track), which cost $35/£26 per person and would have allowed us speed access to three rides.”
