Performer “Blue Scrotum” comes out in response to criticism from Olympic watchers after their “offensive” set

Following internet backlash, the actor who performed as the Greek deity Dionysus during the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics has spoken out.

Eighteen performers, including drag artists, put together a tableau in the setting that featured a bacchanalian scenario centered on the Greek wine deity Dionysus.

After many believed it was meant to be a parody of Leonardo Da Vinci’s The Last Supper, it swiftly sparked fury online.

Among those criticizing the spoof was Piers Morgan, who said, “What the f**k was all this about? An Olympic drag queen parody of the Last Supper? Had they done the same to any other religion? terrible choice.”

Some described the drawing as “spiritual warfare” and “FULL BLOWN SATANIC,” while another likened Dionysus’ appearance to a “blue scrotum.”

Olympic organizers respond to supporters who were outraged by the Opening Ceremony, calling it “satanic.”
