Phil Donahue, a talk show icon, passes away aged 88

Donahue, who was born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1935, earned a business administration degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1957.

He started out in broadcasting in a variety of entry-level positions before becoming well-known in 1967 at Dayton’s WLWD television station.

Donahue won 20 Emmy Awards over his illustrious career, including a Peabody in 1980.

He addressed a broad spectrum of contentious issues, including consumer protection, feminism, and civil rights.

A wide range of people participated in his interviews, such as Farrah Fawcett, Ronald Reagan, John Wayne, and Muhammad Ali.

The woman identifies as “abrosexual” and says it took her thirty years to understand who she was.
